Don’t rush the process sometimes. When you rush the process there might be people who would take advantage of you. Nowadays just having talent is not good enough. You have to know the business side as well.
Why Gospel music? Why not any other genre?
“I sing Gospel because I want to speak life and to encourage that young girl and young boy along the way. Also remind them that my message to the world is that the beat might change but the message will remain the same. I will continue to sing and talk about the name of Jesus until there is no breath in me.”
Who are some artist that you would love to work with?
“ I want to work with everyone, but right off the bat I would say that I would love to have the opportunity to work with Lecrae, Kirk Franklin, Tori Kelly, and Erica Campbell just to name a few.”
Have you ever opened up for any Gospel artists? “Yes last year in 2018. I had the opportunity to open up for a Stellar award winner, Alexis Spight. She is a very sweet and down to earth person. That day moving forward I knew God had some great plans in store for me.”
What advice would you give to someone that wants to have a career in music?
“ First I would say make sure that’s something that you really want to do and you are doing it for the right reasons. surround yourself with some good friends that see the best in you and not tell you what you want to hear, but the truth. Lastly don’t rush the process sometimes. When you rush the process there might be people who would take advantage of you. Nowadays just having talent is not good enough.
